Keep it in perspective...
Sometimes I get caught up in the day to day nonsense...I worry about the "small stuff" and get "out of sorts" over issues that in the big picture of life are not going to change things one or the other. I sometimes allow others' tone or mood effect my day. I even sometimes make decisions based on what I think others expect of me. I have learned this week that will not pay out and I gain nothing for not sticking to my convictions. It is imperative that we stand up for what we believe in, that we love without boundaries, that we savor every moment, and that we praise God all the while. He taught me an invaluable lesson this week...one that was difficult, but I feel liberated for making the right decision and standing up for what was right. In the midst of all this, my mother-in-law's best friend passed away after a very long and difficult battle with cancer. She was an amazing woman. I never saw her frown, feel sorry for herself, or heard her complain. She was beautiful inside and out. Her life put mine in perspective. She taught me to live this life with grace, be who you are, live to fullest with your Heavenly Father always in sight. I am grateful for these lessons...no matter how difficult or in Jan's passing, sad, they may be. Blessings come in all sorts of packages!

Snow...
So, I'm really not into this spring snowstorm we are having. I'm not a winter kind of gal. The dark, dreary weather doesn't do much for me. I love spring and summer!! I love the sunshine and the long days!! I am trying to focus on the good things that come from a snowstorm though...
~We are forced to slow down, stay home, and enjoy the warmth of our homes.
~I love having all of the daily chores finished!
~I love watching my sweet boys as they play in the living room together!
~I love my husband...he got out this morning and bought me a much needed Rocket Brothers iced tea!
~I love knowing the wonders of God...that it could be 72 degrees on Friday without a cloud in the sky and 31 degrees today with a foot of snow possible! His power is AWESOME!!
Spring and summer will be here soon enough. Today I choose to be in the moment and love every minute of this down time we have!

Fun, Faces, and Friends...
I'm back!! I've been gone for ages, but now I am back and ready to resume my blogging! I know you have been waiting on the edge of your seats...hehe!
We are enjoying Spring Break! However, I had a strange mishap this week. Saturday night my face started to burn and sting. I woke up Sunday morning to a swollen and very red face. By Sunday night I was in pain and my face was shedding like a snake going through it's molten stage...ICK! Monday I went to the mall with the boys and sweet friends. I couldn't even smile because my face was literally cracking. I went to an aesthstatician Monday afternoon and she said it looked like I had given myself a chemical peel!!! I can honestly say I will NEVER do that by choice if that's what it feels like! It hurt BAD!!!
We have had a FUN Spring Break!! The boys have kept me on my toes! It seems like all we've done is go out to eat...however, my children don't eat! Seriously, what child doesn't like waffle fries from Chick-fil-A and french toast sticks from Broken Egg Cafe?!! Awww, they wear me out with the picky food thing, but I love them so much!!
I don't want this break to end, but I know the sooner it passes the sooner SUMMER will be here!!! I can't wait for sunshine, warmth, friend time, and pool time!!!
